Proposed Elimination of North Allegheny’s Third Grade Strings Program

Members of the North Allegheny community will have another week to express feedback on the proposed Elimination of North Allegheny’s Third Grade Strings Program.**

Approximately forty-three emails had been received by the board strongly supporting the program, and several members of the community spoke at tonight’s meeting. The school board WILL vote next week on the issue:

Wednesday, April 26, 2017 — 7 PM
Central Administration Office (next to Carson Middle)

Section #4, Letter F. The recommendation the Administration wishes the Board to adopt reads as follows:

The Administration recommends that beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, all music pull-out programs will begin in fourth grade.
