A GoFundMe has been set up for the families who lost almost everything after storms that swept through the afternoon of Friday, June 16, 2017. Today, a group of volunteers organized via Access McCandless’ Facebook page stepped in to help the Kalich family with the cleanup. In addition to hours of manpower, some donated pizza and other supplies to the volunteers, others a generator, washer and dryer, and Brandon Hepp from Hepp Landscaping was on-site with equipment and expertise for the day.
Council member Steve Mertz and Ward 6 council candidate Carolyn Schweiger were out helping today with clean up. It should not be missed that Steve Mertz, and Council member Kim Stinger Zachary were posting as the storm unfolded on Friday.
