Wise Walk Kick-off* Walking may be the simplest way to work out. Your heart gets exercise, you lower your blood pressure, and your bones get stronger. Walking also eases stress and can boost your outlook on life. Join us at Northland Library on Tuesday, April 17 to kick off our 10-week Wise Walk program. Meet at the library at 9:30 a.m. on the 17th to receive informational handouts, then head over to North Park with our volunteer leader to walk for 30 – 40 minutes. For the remaining nine weeks: 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29, 6/5, 6/12, 6/19 The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. directly at Pie Traynor Field to walk together and enjoy the spring weather. Water and snacks will be provided each week.
Walkers of all speeds, and adults with strollers are welcome too. Attend all weeks or some!
Registration is required for week one of this adult program and begins on March 1st. You may register online (click image below), in person at the adult reference desk or by calling 412-366-8100, extension 113.
